show/hide photo count on thumbnail?

Is there a place to set whether the photo count shows on the corner of the thumbnail image?

Basic Settings > Listings > Picture view counter

it's not supported in templates Nova, OLX and Rainbow but you can see it by the number of slides hovering over the thumbnail

Thanks very much, but I'm actually wondering not about the view counter, but the number of photo counter that appears as a white/red square in category view on the corner of the thumbnail:
