I am also interested to know what the Location Mapping Manager actually does as well.

    Edit: It is working fine.

    Hello,

This manager is used to refine your location in case it displays not accurately on the map,

you select a location you need to refine and set your position on the map and save it

now this location will be at the same point on the map of the add-listing form

    Hello,

We have manually pinned locations on the map via Location Mapping Manager and it was working just fine.
However, one day later it seems that somehow all the locations that we have edited somehow rolled back to default (like we have not done nothing).

Is there some kind of automatic updates to the database that we should turn off, that reset our locations?

    Thank you in advance!

If you update the database you will loose all your mappings. It says so before you update i think.

    Hello,

Actually, it happens only when you update the plugin

    Hello Rudi,

So you are actually suggesting that we should not update the plugin once we have manually pinned locations on the map via Location Mapping Manager?
Is there any way to avoid this, since it only seems logical that we manually pin the locations once, and not after every plugin update?

    Thank you in advance!

The only way to keep your pinned locations is to make a backup of the table 'geo_mapping' and then migrate the locations after you update the plugin

but it's necessary only when you update from v4 to v5, you don't need to do it every update

That sounds complicated, it would be great if Flynax come up with a more user friendly processes.

Thank you Rudi, but now we seem to have another problem.

Although we manually pin the locations in the Location Mapping Manager (Location Finder), when we try to Add a Listing, the locations that we have manually edited stay the same even after the edit (data is changed in backend and also in database, but when you try to add a listing, again the user should manually pin on the map).

Is there anything we are missing that we should check and enable that the Location in the Add Listing process is the same that we provide in the Location Finder.

    Thank you in advance!
