Thread: Location finder does not sync map position with Location fields

    Location finder does not sync map position with Location fields

    Shouldn't Plugin location finder sync location fields to selected map position?
    I understood it should:
    https://www.flynax.com/plugins/location-finder.html
    More importantly, the marker is synced with location fields meaning if a user changes position of the marker on the Maps, the Plugin will immediately respond and fill in location fields on the listing form with accurate details.
    But if I try it on my installation, and also on https://classifieds.demoflynax.com/add-listing.html it does not work that way.
    Here are some screenshots showing that it does not work:

    Other way around works - if I change city in location field, map goes to that city, but if I select other city in map, fields don't update.

    Am I missing something in configuration?

    Hello,

    Make sure that the mapping is set correctly in Basic Settings > Location Finder > Geo Mapping:

    Use location mapping > Yes;

    Country Field > your country field

    State Field > your state field

    City field > your city field


    also, if you use maps from google, the server api key or api key for Geocoding should be configured properly, see this link for your reference:

    Hello Mohamed,

    Did you make sure to correct the setting and setup google api key as Rudi suggested above?
    Most of the time it was the issue.
