Thread: CSV/XLS Listing Import/Export

    Post CSV/XLS Listing Import/Export

Can someone please share with me their experience with the CSV/XLS Listing Import/Export plugin.

I am thinking it might be a bit complicated for users to figure out how to use?

Although there is no official manual for this plugin, it's intuitive and easy to use.

The only thing when you import images via zip archive is that their names, including extension, should be listed via comma per each listing in your xls file like image_1.jpg, image_2.jpg, etc.

otherwise, you need to specify direct links to images also via comma

Unlike the XML Import plugin, it doesn't have a detailed mapping for field items and imports them if they match the values from your listing fields

but you can quickly configure and import listings with this plugin

    Rudi,

As I understand, to use the plugin, a user needs to upload two files at the same time:

    File #1 - CSV / XLS:

    - File contains the data of each field contained on the website
    - File names of the photos separated by commas (e.g. image_1.jpg, image_2.jpg)

    File #2 - Zip:

    - image files with the same names listed in the CSV / XLS file (e.g. image_1.jpg, image_2.jpg)

    Is this correct?

    Yes, exactly,

the file names in xls/csv file should be correlated with each listing

Hello, today I bought this module, but when importing images from URL it does not work correctly.

For example the URLs of the images are:
    https://f1.XXXXXX.com/fg/5431/51/543151639_1.jpg

The ad is created well, and in the images folder there are two files but without size:
    / public_html / files / 11-2020 / ad176 /
    orig_16048627281836075186.jpg

The size is 0 and the image is not visible.

It is possible that I cannot import images from the web that I try to copy the images?

I have tried with 2 other websites and the import works for me.
But I am interested in the web that the import is not working for me, since it does not have watermarks in the images.

    Thanks!

    Hello,

Yes, you can't import images to the same site where they are located

and I don't think it makes any sense

Confirm that the file URLs paths are correct.

Maybe I explained badly, my English is not very good.

I want to download images from a website that has a lot of ads to my website. But those images are not downloaded, I send you the exact address privately.

It is correct, because with other websites it does work for me.
