    Automatically clickable links in descriptions

    Hello

I monetize my Flynax board thanks to affiliation.
When people click on links, I get a % of the sale.

I lose a big part of these revenue because when people post their links in the "Description" field, the link is not automatically clickable.
So people copy/paste the link and there is no affiliation revenue for me.

Is there a way to make all http:// , https:// , www. url automatically clickable in the Description field.

Putting the "website" field as required is not a solution as many of my sellers do not have any website.

    Regards
    Olivier

    Hello,

It will require a customization to wrap all links with a href tag

or users should wrap their links manually

    OK I need this customization.

Please let me know where I can request it.

? When you place an affiliate link you just need to add the link option to it. If other people are posting links then you would not be getting a % anyway as it would be their links with their affiliate code and with that they get paid, not you.

You just need to add some text to your copy, for example,> Click here to learn more < then all you need to do is highlight that text and add your affiliate link to the links option.

That said you are better off creating a subdomain for your affiliate links and masking the link per se to be more pleasant to the eye/user, for example,> learnmore.mysite.com < which redirects to your affiliate link.

Just a suggestion I would explore multiple income streams on your site, not just affiliate links.

    Featured Ads upgrade
    Affiliate links
    adsense
    Banners
    etc etc

there is a new post in the blog about these options maybe take a look at that for some ideas.

If you're still interested in this you need to create a ticket and the responsible developer will estimate this customization

Thank you Rudi I have just opened a ticket.

Pete Young < look at modern affiliation systems like EPN smart links : it puts affiliate cookies on all links (not only yours). Very useful if you have many ebay ads in your Flynax board.
And yes, I have many other monetization methods on my Flynax boards (adsense, banners...).

    Olivier
