Any tips for seo on a classified site?

I have all my meta data and titles, description,headings inplace. Yet i still rank way below. Its almost like its getting worse.
Any tips on seo specialy for a flynax classified site?
As for a classified site we rely on listings for content but surely there must be ways to rank. Too many seo articles out there saying this and that.
