Remote Hosted Images

Hi, I receive the bulk of my listings via xml feed. It would be great if the images could be displayed using the remote image url from the feed instead of downloading to the server. I used this method before I migrated to Flynax. It worked with Owl Carousel and was great for disk space and feed import time. Maybe it could be set via a toggle in the AP.

it's a good idea but what about thumbnails and other image sizes which are generating for listings during image upload ?

anyway, it will require a customization to implement it in xml feed plugin

Hi Rudi,

The thumbnails used the same remote URL and have the same size proportions. Automotive standard is 640x480, so all of my images are sized that way. The thumbs are just scaled down.
