Featured account !?

There is a "Number of featured accounts in a box" parameter in Basic settings>Accounts
There was no featured item in account type, so i enabled membership plan and then add an account type and Yes! there was a Featured settings> Featured Box Yes/no radio box.
I created a test one in admin demo but i did not understand what this account is and does.
There are also two columns in accounts table which are related to this account type: Featured and Last_show
Does anybody know about this account type or a manual?

it shows the accounts / members details as featured in the same way as a listing per say from memory?

Thank you Pete, we know featured listings have some advantages against free listings
I mean what exactly are advantages of this account as Featured against other account types.
It's like a predefined account type by flynax, so i guess there is some advantages more than showing them in a box.

Bahram, from memory, I scrapped the idea because they did not rotate from memory, it was static, the new one came on and the oldest dropped off. did not quite work for me, but it may have changed since then?
