I agree with this 10,000%. That goes for everything including Listing Types, Makes, Models, Multi-Field entries, etc...

    Hi guys,

Would you please explain to us why do you want to choose multiple categories? Need more information.

I'm not sure about multiple categories but multiple fields has been a feature on some classified for sometimes. For example we want to look for a few models of BMW, or a few cities in California.

    Hi Viktor

    1. We must think for users & for users this feature is really handy ( 4 examp. user can find cars : Make - MB, Type of Body - Sedans & SUVs )
    2. user have more flexible searching options, This Screenshot is from autoscout24, this dropdown menu combine with textField & checkBoxs
    3. This is look really amazing

I think you mean dropdown for search form on the home page. Because menu has only links without dropdowns.

I'm talking about all search forms and filters (I'm actually mainly thinking about filters) where a user can choose multiple data points. Let's say a customer is looking for a Ford, but not quite sure what model. They can choose Ford and then choose Explorer, Edge, and Escape to view them all in the listings page. Then let's also say they either want White or Blue exterior color, they can choose both. And maybe they want to choose between two different trim levels, either an XLT or Platinum trim.

Or if they are unsure if they want a Ford Explorer or a Chevy Traverse, they can choose both Ford and Chevy, and the model selection will show only models for Ford and Chevy, then they can choose the Explorer and Traverse models from there.

Or maybe they are trying to choose from buying a car or a motorcycle (listing types). They can choose both within their price range to view at the same time.

    Does that make sense?

I am pretty sure there is an easy solution for this (in terms of changing the selects), but it will likely require modifying several js files to change select menus. Sounds like a good idea though.

Here is a good sample of something that came to mind...

If you notice the search filtering capabilities, it would work wonders for long list of options in the select menu.

Dropdown multi-select menu with search box would definitely be useful and functional in the whole site.
