Can I apply Real Estate template functions to General Classifieds?

I’m currently using General Classifieds template and I would like to have an option from Real Estate classifieds with States list (see image below).

Is it possible to add this option without changing the template?

Hello,

Yes, it possible. You need to copy the file blocks/map.tpl from Real Estate template and then configure a block of map. (you can use as example a template of Real Estate)

Vladimir is right it's possible but not easy like he wrote because in map.tpl are using states-categories for links on map. on general site not exist states like categories. Would you explain me what criteria do you want to use instead of categories for map for searching listings?

Yes, I want to use States category links like on Real Estate template.
In other words, I would like to have all features from Real Estate template to be installed on my General Classifieds script.
Also, I want to keep all existing categories of my General Classifieds.

So, would you please provide me with steps to perform this modification?
