I checked with flynax 4.6 and php 5.6 and it works properly with your sample xls file.
Are you sure you put the code in right place? also try to update system cache from admin/refresh menu.

I'm having the same environment, but it's not working. Strange! I tried updating the system cache too. But no luck. I just got the message from support team that they modified the code in my site. Not sure what they have changed it!
