Category Placement Help

Hello,

2 Questions:

1. I want to position the category box to the left side on the homepage, when I choose sidebar as the position, it only appears on the right side, is there a reason it won't display on the left side? Can it even be positioned on the left side at all? If so, can you explain how can I do it?

2. Referring to sidebar boxes, (content boxes)...How can I put specific categories in their own boxes? Right now, I just have all categories in one content box in the sidebar, I would rather have listing type/category/sub-category in their own content box.

1. What a template do you use?
2. Go to ftp://includes>>classes>>rlCommon.class.php
find method: simulateCatBlocks and change to mine:
