Help Needed : Listing by Car Regestration

Hi there guys and girls,
I’m currently working on a site with a friend and the site will include listings for classifieds, property and cars (used and new), We have come a across a problem that maybe somebody has already solved and coded.
Listings for classifieds and property will have all the standard fields as do the cars at present but we would like to compete in the Irish market. Currently the two top sites in the market give you an option to enter the car registration number, which in turn automatically fills in the fields for the make, model, cc, year, millage, number of doors, tax, nct, condition, etc etc. The provider for the information has an xml feed and we are already signed up on a trial for the service. We can and will write the page and the code but if somebody has already done so I would appreciate the help as there is currently no plug in for this service.
Simply when you choose cars/auto listing the page presents you with two options. (1) a box to enter the car registration and below the standard listing fields, If you fill in the registration is fills in the fields automatically and you can add to that if any information is missing. All cars in Ireland are in a central database which is accessible for this purpose.

So, we don't have any plugin to automatic of filling fields by information of car, but we plan to developing of new plugin which will be make it by VIN code.
Now we can suggest the XML Feeds Import/Export Plugin only for import listings from another feeds.

Thanks for the reply. We don't really use VIN numbers in Europe for selling cars but it can be used. Most owners would not have the VIN number to hand but would remember their registration number, which is also unique.
Im sure the plug in could be adapted very easily to accept the Reg number from our end when its developed as it would be the same coding with just a different input string. When do you predict the plugin will be available for download.

So, we cannot tell you really date of release of this plugin, but we hope it will be available over 2-3 months.
