Blogging? blog rolls?

Is there a way to get a blog on my website without using a wp blog. I want the blog to be within my website, and have a blog roll on the homepage...

I personally use wp. But you could do it on your site by creating a new listing type called blog for example, make sure its admin only. then create categories. And then you can use the plugins like popluar listings, recent listings to showcase you articles

If your not using the FAQ pluggin / consider it as an option, built in adds in date format , can tack it to your front page / use it like a blog, the only difference would be not being able to create categories.
