1. This is useful yes.
2. I think there is a guide here on forum where if price is 0 it show a text "contact for more info" you can change it to "free" if you want.
3. The statistic may be useful...

Can you try asking user? Because from my understanding the trash folder only store delete ads from admincp backend. I may be wrong. Or may be try creating new account, post ads -> then delete ads and...

There is an option for the user to delete their ads, and their own accounts.
