The plugin "Data Entries Import" has problems with words with accents.

I used Data Entries Import plugin to import the list of cities in Brazil.
The plugin has problems with words with accents.

After importing, the names of the cities are all wrong.

I tried import the list with .csv and .xls.
The problem happens the same way with the two archives.

Can someone help me?

As John said problem is that your file saved using not acceptable encoding.
Please try following:
open the file and save using utf-8 encoding.
Re-open the file to check that words are correct
Try to import
