If you upload images to your listings, using Safari browser, you will not see the thumb when selecting file to upload. Using Chrome, you will see a thumb instantly before pressing upload in the grid.
Just for information and if you have time, pls check this out to validate different browsers.

We've checked the page upload photo and haven't found this problem. We tested it in the Safari browser of version 5.0
I noticed the same thing with Opera - after selecting the picture for upload only the close (X) button is visible. After seeing this thread I tested with Chrome and over there is is definitely visible. I tested it in Safari as well and it work there too.

The images preview works properly in Safari 6+ but doesn't work in Safari for Windows due to browser bugs...
To be honest Safari for windows is enough buggy and it doesn't seems to be developed new versions by Apple.
I suggest using Safari on Mac and Chrome or FireFox on Windows!
