What is the Sorting Form?

What exactly is the "Sorting Form" that's found when building the category forms? Where does the Sorting Form appear on the front end?

Yes Ron, it is found in the sort option in the categories etc and ads other dimensions (list fields) that can be used to sort with.

Where would I see this "sort option" on the front end? Can you give me an example? Or where would I see it in the Flynax demo?

under the word property it says sort by Date, it ends up in there as another option to sort by.
