Here a small manual to integrate a slider in the header on the main page.

This manual is only for the following templates:

• General Modern
• Auto Modern
• Realty Modern
• Pets Modern
• Boats Modern

This plugin supports up to 4 images with (or without) text.
I think that should be enough.

Ok lets start now.

Part 1

Open templates/*your_template*/tpl/header_home.tpl

find the following code @ line ~ 22 and behind

add the following code in a new line

Save and Close!


Part 2

Go via ftp into the folder files and creates a new folder.
Rename this new folder as sliderimg
In this folder you must upload via ftp up to 4 images with a size of 584px x 269px for the slider.


Part 3

Download and extract the Attachment 482.
Upload the file header_slider.tpl via ftp to templates/*your_template*/tpl/

Part 4

Now download and extract the Attachment 483.
Upload the folder hslider via ftp into the plugins folder.

Part 5

Now you have login into the Admin Panel and go to Plugins -> Plugins.
Install the plugin -> hslider

Part 6

In Admin Panel go to Common -> Configurations -> Header Image Slider
Here can you make some settings or disable the plugin.

Thats all.

! Do not forget to upload the pictures in files/sliderimg/
The best is to rename the images as image1.jpg, image2.jpg, image3.jpg and image4.jpg.
It can also be png files image1.png, image2.png, image3.png and image4.png
However, you must edit this in the settings @ File Name Image e.g. -> image1.png

the image names in folder sliderimg must the same as in the settings ( Common -> Configurations -> Header Image Slider )

Is there away to link the images or the text from the slider to a particular page on your website. For instance I would like to use the slider for businesses to advertise on and when a visitor clicks the image or the text they are taking to that dealers page. I tried typing in the link automatically and this is what I keep getting.

It is duplicating the url.

How do apply this to other template like Auto Modern Blue?

Because I can't find <div id="teaser_bg"> in this file any more. Im using template for pet.

no - you can use it also in new 4.2 version.
I have general and no pet. Hmmm i must look and download the pet template if i have time.

Fantastic plugin however would be even better if we could set hyperlinks from the images :)

Only if you create new listing field and insert links there and then add this field to form through builder.

Im using the Auto wide template i dont have the header_home.tpl file in the directory anywhere. How do i integrate a slideshow on a full width homepage.

Don't have the file names in front of me but Try adding it to the bottom of blocks/horizontal search tpl. I think that's what it's called

I tried adding at the bottom of the horizontal search.tpl but its coming below the seach box. But the image is not being loaded as well. I gave the same name for image file and image name in settings page. The folders are also in correct place.

Do advice where do i place the first code so i can get the banner above the search box.

I just went through the codes in the Plugin . I couldnt find how the image is reference anywhere. When i used inspect element i couldnt see any image link.

I tried to install it in the general modern template and could not find the header_home.tpl file. Only the header.tpl file exists. Is it in this file that I have to do the code inclusion? If yes, exactly what?
I installed the plugin in the admin panel but I could not find the file above. can you help me?
