Recurring in plan setting?

Can any1 explain to me what does this setting do? If I set as showed in screenshot for free plan and paid plan?

It's used for automatic write-offs each defined period so user doesn't need to update plan manually

So it will automatically renew the plan after 6 months according to my screenshot right? Does it work the same with free plan as well?

Subscribe option appears on add-listing when your plan is premium
