Hi @ All,

Google Maps API now costs $4 per 1000 requests.
Look here -> LINK (http://www.google.com/enterprise/earthmaps/maps-compare.html) and here -> LINK (http://www.google.com/enterprise/earthmaps/maps-faq.html)

Is there a possibility to use MapQuest API or Cloudmade as an alternative to Google Maps API?
MapQuest has no limitations and is open source - free.

Best regards
Steffen

This google map thing is confusing me. When map api is used in our flynax websites, are we using flynax's google map quota or our own? I don't remember myself enabling any quota in my google account or making any setting to reference to my own account.

Hello Steffen,
Where you got such information? Could you share the source with us please?

'The fee only starts only when daily call volume exceeds 25,000 for default maps API. For styled Maps API, the overage limit starts at lower volume.'

That's what the article goes on to say, so if your site has less than 25,000 map impressions a day, you have nothing to worry about.
