    Upgrading from Flynax v.3.2 to 4.0

    Unfortunately, we cannot offer you a patch to upgrade to Flynax v.4.0 as the new version uses a different concept and contains a number of improvements and new pieces of code. Despite the fact that it is impossible to totally upgrade the source code you can import a database of your site to v.4.0 in the following way:

    1. Add a subdirectory to your server, for example: domain.com/new/;

    2. Install the new version to the subdirectory;

    3. Download a plugin, which you can find here (http://www.flynax.com/plugins/dbmigration.html), and run it on the new version; it will import all data (accounts, listings, pictures and videos, categories, email templates, languages, administrators, news, messages sent through contact us form, transactions, comments, listing ratings and data entries (formerly data formats)) from the previous version to Flynax v.4.0.

    Regarding customizations it should be noted that upgrading to the new version will overwrite source code files of the previous version. So all changes/customizations made either by you or by Flynax Team to the code will be lost and there is no way to import them to Flynax Software v.4.0. The only solution is to reproduce previously made customizations in the new version. Reproducing customizations made by Flynax Team can be done for extra cost, which is calculated based on the original cost of a customization, and normally amounts to about 50% of the original cost, but can be less.

    The good news is that some of your customizations that you want to be reproduced can be part of Flynax v.4.0. You can send us a list of customizations to be reproduced and we will let you know which ones are part of the new version and which ones can be done for extra cost.
